STREAM Vision & Belief Statement

Vision:  

St. William the Abbot STREAM encourages academic excellence through an intertwining of Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics, promoting collaboration, cooperation, and a sense of wonder for the beauty and complexity of God’s creation.

Beliefs:

We believe our students should be immersed in a school atmosphere where their natural curiosities are satisfied through experiential learning opportunities intended to develop both critical thinking skills and persistence in problem-solving abilities. We believe students will experience a deeper understanding of their world that will foster inquisitiveness, independence, and investigation.

Goals: Students will: 

• Recognize the cyclical and continuous nature of inquiry while understanding and utilizing the SWS Design Process of INQUIRE, IMAGINE, PLAN, CREATE, REFLECT, IMPROVE.

• Maximize their potential and prepare to successfully meet the demands of an ever-changing and evolving world.

• Be empowered to dream, discover, create, and become responsible and compassionate decision-makers.
