  • Getting to Know Me . . .

    • This is my 21st year as a member of the SWS faculty.

    • I look forward to a year of new beginnings and a spiritual year filled with milestones and blessings.

    • I am a mother of four grown children and we all have a Catholic School Education.

    • I am a graduate of Molloy College and have a Master of Science Degree with a Dual Certification in Early Childhood Education (Nursery-2) and Elementary Education (1-6).

    • I taught Pre-K and Nursery for 18 years and then moved to second grade.

    • Preparing the children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion makes second grade a special year.

    • In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach, gardening, reading, and walking my dog, Oreo.

The many years I have shared with the faculty and staff have been a blessing to me. I look forward to many more years of educating children in the Catholic faith as well as inspiring the children to love learning.

  • Welcome!

I am very excited to have you join my Second Grade Class. This year we will be learning many new things which include expanding your vocabulary, reading fluently with expression, and beginning the use of a dictionary. Together with Fundations and Guided Reading, our literacy program will build your confidence and strengthen your skills to increase your reading levels. I will be introducing you to poetry and we will be reading and creating book reports together. In Math, we will be able to add single and multi-digit numbers with regrouping. We will also be learning different strategies for adding and subtracting numbers. We will be learning how to tell time and measurement. One of the activities that I know you will enjoy is our in-class Math and Spelling Bees and Jeopardy games. What a fun-filled year you will have!

    Message to Parents!

Our 2021-2022 school year is going to be amazing. I am looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you throughout the year. I will be communicating with you through email and Schoology. I also will meet you at Back to School Night and our Parent/Teacher Conferences. I would like to thank you for choosing SWS for your child's education.
