I have been teaching for over 30 years (YIKES!!), all of which I’ve taught in Catholic schools. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (N-6) from State College at Oneonta. I earned my Master’s Degree in Reading (N-12) from Hofstra University. I have New York State Permanent Certification in Literacy (Birth to Grade 12). In 1986, I began teaching in the Brooklyn Diocese at St. Pius X in Rosedale, teaching grades four, six, and eight. After ten years, I transferred to the Rockville Centre Diocese, where I taught grades three, four, and five at St. Catherine of Sienna, Franklin Square. I began teaching at St. William the Abbot in 2006, teaching 4th grade for nine years. I am currently teaching grade three, where I've been for 5 years. I think it's the best grade with the best students!!
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family – husband, Joe and son, Joey. As a “hockey mom” I spend many hours at ice rinks up and down the east coast. My two favorite things are being at the beach and reading a good book. When I can do both together, I’m in heaven!!
I have enjoyed my experiences teaching in Catholic schools. It is a privilege to be able to work with children in a faith-filled environment. I feel blessed to be teaching at St. William’s where parents are very supportive and truly dedicated to Catholic education. I look forward to many more years ahead at St. William the Abbot.
