My name is Jennifer Lombardo and this is my second year teaching at Saint William the Abbot School! I received my Undergraduate Degree from SUNY Oswego in Childhood Education and received my Masters Degree from Walden University in Elementary Literacy and Reading.
Previously, I worked in both a Self-Contained classroom and a Special Education Teacher Support Service (SETSS) classroom. In the SETSS classroom, I took the role of a classroom Intervention Teacher. Under this position, I had the privilege of working in grades kindergarten, first, third and fourth. I taught both whole group and small group instruction for math and science as well as English-Language Arts and social studies.
My exposure working as an Intervention Teacher had emphasized the importance of teaching towards individual learners. Therefore, I continued my post-graduate education and earned a Students with Disabilities Certification (Grades 1-6).
I feel very blessed and fortunate be a teacher of the St. William School community to share my faith and my passion for teaching with my students. In Room 23, we believe in the Power of "YET"! We are learning to not give up and persevere through challenges.
