My name is Mary Bradley, and I am excited to be teaching 7th and 8th Social Studies, as well as 7-1 Religion during this my eleventh year of teaching, and third at SWS. I have received both my Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Stony Brook University. Teaching Social Studies is my passion. I truly enjoy working with my students to help them better understand the world that surrounds them. I view my classroom as a forum for students to enhance both their communication and cooperative skills and learn how to work with people of varying opinions and backgrounds. As an educator, my goal is to help students achieve a level of respect and understanding, both of which will benefit them later in life. My Catholic faith plays an important role in my life, and I have always worked to give back to my parish. Over the years, I have served at the altar, as a catechist, and coordinated Vacation Bible Camp. I now enjoy welcoming the youngest members of our community and their families to celebrate the sacrament of Baptism as a Baptism Hospitality Minister at my parish in Babylon. As a Catholic School educator, I strive to successfully guide my students not only in their academic studies, but in building their character as well, helping them to understand their roles as stewards of creation.
