Getting to Know Me . . . I have been a part of the Saint William the Abbot family for nineteen years. It’s a great faith community! I love teaching first grade, and being a part of the tremendous amount of growth that happens in first grade! Prior to first grade, I taught second and third grade.
I am a product of Catholic education, as are my husband of 36 years and my three grown children. My granddaughter now attends SWS!
I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Adelphi Universityand worked in Banking for several years. In 2001, I returned to school to obtain my Master of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Molloy College. I am New York State certified for grades N – 6. I hold a Basic Catechist certificate from the Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Welcome! I am excited to have you in my First Grade Class! We will be building on things that you learned in kindergarten, as well as learning lots of new things. Meeting with reading groups is a favorite activity of mine. I love to see the progress that you make for the year through lots of practice and fun activities. We will become strong mathematicians in first grade as well, using our Newline board and Chromebooks and centers to strengthen our skills. I can’t wait to get started!
Message to Parents! Thank you for choosing Catholic education and thank you for choosing St. William the Abbot School! I look forward to meeting you all and working with you and your children. We are so happy to have you back in the building. Our communication this year will be through the SWS Schoology website, as well as Remind. Please contact me if you need assistance to gain access.
