1. Uniforms
Each team may be in uniform, but it is not required.
2. Roster
A roster shall be submitted to the CMSAA Athletic Director before the first match in league play. The roster is unique to each team. No team members may change teams once the first match has been played.
3. Play
Each game is played by 4 members of a team. If additional team members are present, prior to each game, these additional members will be designated as “alternate”. The “alternate” may still bowl, but their score(s)will not be calculated in the team score for that game. No team can have the same “alternate” for both games. The location of play is divided by geography proximity. All scores are tallied by team, regardless of location.
4. Blinds
A “blind” exists when the 4 member team does not have 4 members present. The scoring of the “blind” is calculated by averaging the middle two scores of the active members and subtracting 5 points from it. Additional “blinds” are calculated the same way but 10 points are subtracted from the average of present bowlers.
5. Scoring
Matches consist of two games. Matches shall be on an 11- point basis. The team winner of each game will get 4 points per game with a total of 8 points per match and the team with highest pin fall for a match combined will receive 2 points. In addition, the individual bowler with the highest pt CMSAA - Coed Bowling Rules value for both games of the match will receive 1 pt for his/ her team. This totals to 11 points. The winner of each league will be the team with the most points overall.
6. Division Title
If at the end of 8 matches, the point total does not identify a division winner, a final “bowl-off” will be held. The location of this game will be decided by the CMSAA Athletic Director.
7. Sportsmanship
Good sportsmanship must be exhibited at all times.
8. Virtual Games
A “virtual game” is a game played at one location vs another team at a different location or date. The source of these game is caused by keeping all schools at the same location each week and then having an uneven number of teams at that location. The scoring for a “virtual game” will not be posted until both teams scores have been submitted to the Athletic Director.
