I am excited to be teaching sixth grade science. I have been teaching for over thirty years. Wow, I can’t believe I just said that because it feels like yesterday that I walked into my first classroom. I still have that same enthusiasm every year as I meet my new group of students. I began my career teaching in the Diocese of Rockville Centre and then moved on to the Farmingdale public schools. After staying home to raise my children, I returned to the diocesan school I love, SWS. I received both my B.S. and M.A. in Education from Adelphi University. I love helping my students to live, grow, and become active members of the Catholic faith. I am an active parishioner here at St. William the Abbot. SWS has always been an important part of my life. I received all of my sacraments here and I am a proud graduate of St. William the Abbot School. Over the years, I have served the parish through the music ministry and teaching in Faith Formation. My husband and two sons are active in the parish as ushers and one is a lector at Sunday Mass. I believe in the education that SWS offers to our students and that is why I am happy to say that my two sons are also graduates of SWS. As you can see SWS will always hold a special place in my heart!

Welcome! Welcome to Science! It is time to enter a world of discovery. That is one of the best things about science, there is always something new and exciting to discover. I love watching my students as they explore new ideas. We will have lots of opportunities to do many hands-on activities to learn about our natural world. We will build, create, and experiment as we learn. Our class will do many STEAM activities to help us in our discovery. So, get ready for a fun-filled year!
Message to Parents! I extend a special welcome to my SWS parents. Thank you for entrusting your child to my care. SWS is a wonderful school and a special place. It offers an extremely nurturing environment as well as a strong academic and spiritual program for your child. The students are immersed in their Catholic faith daily. I truly look forward to coming to work every day and feel blessed to have an opportunity to share my faith with my students.
