God of power and mercy,
you destroy war and put down earthly pride.
Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears,
that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters.
Keep in your mercy those men and women
who have died in the cause of freedom
and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this though Jesus Christ our Lord.

St. William the Abbot alumni Samantha Ferraro and Robert Moulder were the recipients of the Fitzgerald Family Scholarship at Holy Trinity's Junior Academic Award Night.

“The first recipient of this award is Samantha Ferraro.

Samantha Ferraro is a kind and gentle young woman who has truly put God first.  She has made the sacraments and prayer a priority in her personal life and regularly attends our weekly Trinity rosary, as well as the monthly diocesan holy hour.  She has a giving spirit, having participated in events such as the Spring Fling, the Georgia Mission trip, and other volunteer opportunities throughout her years here.  She is a dedicated member of the Respect Life Club and was even selected as a finalist for her essay in the Diocese of Rockville Centre Respect Life Awards.  Samantha brings joy to everyone she encounters and is a great example of someone living the Gospel in our school community.”

“Our second recipient is Robert Moulder.  Robert Moulder has been involved in Campus Ministry in various ways since his freshman year.  He's offered his help on service projects and taken advantage of prayer experiences.  He's become a leader in the Respect Life Club and attended the March for Life in Washington, DC this past year.  He will be representing Holy Trinity this summer at the Steubenville NYC Catholic Youth Conference, as well as in Poland for World Youth Day with Pope Francis.  He is also active in his own parish outside of school. Most importantly, Robert is a faithful and compassionate young man who is always willing to step up and help whenever and wherever it is needed.  He lives his faith in both word and deed, and he is a force for good in our school.”
